Edit the clinical manifestations of this paragraph.
The onset is slow, and patients generally have no special feelings. They often inadvertently find goiter, which is generally diffuse and symmetrical, or it may be obvious on one side. Painless in most cases and slightly painful in a few cases. The symptoms of compression are not obvious. The texture is hard, such as rubber, and the surface is smooth and lobulated, often without obvious nodules. It can move up and down with swallowing, and the early thyroid function is mostly in the normal range. A few patients can see mild hyperthyroidism, such as nervousness, palpitation, fear of heat, etc., and generally have no spontaneous relief. With the progress of the disease, when the thyroid gland is destroyed to a certain extent, more than half of the patients may have late hypothyroidism symptoms, such as fear of cold, fatigue, weight gain and so on. Some cases developed from diffuse swelling to nodular, and a few patients in the later stage had a lot of thyroid fibrosis, which was as hard as stones and often adhered to surrounding tissues, with progressive compression symptoms and dyspnea. Traditional Chinese medicine is called "gall tumor", "stone gall" and "qi gall". Patients with Hashimoto's disease are usually accompanied by diffuse goiter. With the prolongation of medical history, thyroid nodules will appear, and slow treatment will bring great trouble to patients. Hashimoto's disease is an autoimmune disease, which often recovers slowly after treatment. If it is not treated correctly for a long time, it will also damage thyroid function and form Hashimoto hypothyroidism.
