Gu Zhenghong's resume.
Gu Zhenghong is a native of Zhuanhe, Funing County (now Zheng Hong Town, Binhai County). A famous revolutionary martyr. My family was poor when I was a child. 16 years old, fled to Shanghai with her mother to make a living.

From 65438 to 0924, Gu Zhenghong attended a tutorial school run by an underground organization in the Communist Party of China (CPC). During this period, under the influence of Deng Zhongxia, Hui, and other revolutionary ideas, he joined the Huxi Workers' Club and became an active member of the club.

1In February, 925, more than 40,000 workers from 22 Japanese cotton mills in Shanghai went on strike to oppose the unreasonable dismissal of workers by Japanese capitalists. Gu joined the union picket. Gu Zhenghong played an active role in this struggle and integrated into China. At the beginning of May, Japanese capitalists tore up the agreement, dissolved the trade union and closed the factory on the pretext that cotton was expensive.

1925 may 15, the Japanese capitalists in the seventh factory closed down and refused to pay wages. Under the leadership of the underground organization in the Communist Party of China (CPC), Gu led the workers to fight against the factory and took the lead in breaking the door of the factory. Facing the enemy with guns, Gu Zhenghong stood at the forefront of the workers, leading them to shout: Oppose Japanese oppression of workers! No deduction of wages! Wait for the slogan. Gu Zhenghong has long been noticed by Dabanchuan Village of No.7 Factory. At this time, I saw him take the lead in the struggle and immediately shot him. The bullet hit Zhong Gu's left leg and was dripping with blood. Gu Zhenghong glared at the enemy and cried painfully, Workers, let's unite and fight! Kawamura fired a few more shots, and Gu finally fell into a pool of blood. When the workers saw it, they were full of anger and rushed to fight bravely with the enemy. The criminals Yuan Mu and Kawamura fled hastily under the protection of the armed patrol. Gu Zhenghong was taken to the hospital by his workmates for first aid.

1May, 925 16, Gu Zhenghong, who was only 20 years old, died of his injuries.

On the day of Gu Zhenghong's sacrifice, more than 20,000 workers from the Japanese cotton mill in Huxi issued a declaration, announcing a strike and calling on people from all walks of life to support and assist the workers in their struggle. Shanghai students were the first to take to the streets, and the business community also expressed solidarity.

On May 24th, 1925, people from all walks of life in Shanghai held a mass sacrifice meeting for Gu Zhenghong martyrs in Tanziwan, Zhabei.

1925 On May 28th, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held an emergency meeting and decided to mobilize the masses to hold anti-imperialist demonstrations. Subsequently, the strike struggle quickly became a famous May 30th anti-imperialist patriotic movement.

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Gu Zhenghong Martyrs Memorial Hall was established in Shanghai, and Gu Zhenghong Martyrs Statue was built in Shanghai Guomian No.2 Factory. Gu Memorial Hall was established in the hometown of martyrs. 1958 When the People's Commune was founded, the hometown of martyrs was officially named Zheng Hong Commune (now Zheng Hong Township).
