A?vagho?a is a Buddhist poet and playwright. He lived in the early AD, and three plays remained in later generations. One of them is called "Biography of Sharifutsu", which tells the story of how two big disciples of the Buddha, Sharifutsu and Mu Yulian, gave up thinking about becoming Buddhist monks.
