Lang Zheng's father is a policeman and his mother is a civil servant.

Lang Zheng was born into a military family in Beichuan County, Sichuan Province. His father Lang Hongdong is a policeman in the local county, and his mother Wu Xiaohong is a staff member of China Merchants Bureau.

Introduction to Lang Zheng:

Lang Zheng, born on March 28th, 2005, witnessed the Wenchuan Earthquake and was a student of Peking University Institute of International Relations. On May 13, 2008, in the ruins of Beichuan disaster area, a child with an injured left arm was lying on a temporary stretcher made of small wooden boards, and saluted eight PLA soldiers carrying him with his tender right hand. This scene, quickly spread throughout the country through photos and images, has also become a true portrayal of the indomitable national spirit.

In 2008, after the "5. 12" Wenchuan earthquake, 3-year-old Lang Zheng was injured in his left arm and buried for more than 20 hours before being rescued from the ruins of Beichuan disaster area. At that time, he was lying on a temporary stretcher made of small wooden boards, saluting the eight PLA soldiers carrying him with his tender right hand. This scene, quickly spread throughout the country through photos and images, has also become a true portrayal of the indomitable national spirit.

Lang Zheng's father, Lang Hongdong, is a policeman. He believes that the child's salute is out of admiration for the soldiers. On the evening of June 23rd, 2023, Lang Zheng scored 637 points, including Chinese 129, mathematics 126, English 143 and comprehensive literature 239. Invitations have been received from Renmin University of Peking University and China. Lang Zheng said: I am going to apply for Peking University, and I will be a civil servant in the future to serve the people and live up to so many people who care about me and help me.

In July 2023, Lang Zheng was admitted to Peking University Institute of International Relations. Lang Zheng said that he chose his major in international politics according to his actual situation, ability and specialty.

On the morning of July 24th, 2023, Tang Shiqi, Dean of Peking University Institute of International Relations, came to Chen Dong International School in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province to communicate with teachers and students, and sent an acceptance letter to Lang Zheng, two freshmen admitted to Peking University this year.
