Brief introduction of general Leon
Leon (19 1 1-2006) was born in Lei Hu Township, Yongding County, Fujian Province. /kloc-joined the Red Guards Brigade of Yongding County in 0/929, joined the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants in 0/930, and joined the Chinese Communist Youth League in the same year. 193 1 year was transferred to China. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, he served as the communication platoon leader of the Red Army Corps Command, entered the public school from 65438 to 0934, and then stayed as a political instructor. In September of the same year, he was transferred to the National Security Bureau to study. Since then, he has served as a member of the Reconnaissance Section of the Security Bureau of the Red Third Army Corps, a deputy commissioner of the 13th Regiment of the Red Third Army Corps, an instructor and company commander of the Third Company of the Security Corps of the Military Commission. Participated in the anti-encirclement campaign in the Central Soviet Area and the 25,000-mile Long March. After arriving in northern Shaanxi, he entered China People's Anti-Japanese Red Army University to study. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period, he was transferred to the reconnaissance staff of the New Fourth Army, the reconnaissance staff of the first detachment headquarters and the secret service staff of the New Fourth Army. After the Southern Anhui Incident, he served as the Chief of Staff of the Special Service Corps of the New Fourth Army and the Deputy Head of the Seventh Regiment of the Third Brigade of the First Division of the New Fourth Army, and led his troops to participate in the Battle of Axle and the struggle to open up the anti-Japanese base areas in southern Jiangsu. During the War of Liberation, he served as the head of the 8th regiment of the 3rd Brigade of the 1st Division of the New Fourth Army, the 64th regiment of the 22nd Brigade of the 8th column of the Central China Field Army, the chief of staff of the 3rd Brigade of the 1st Division, the acting brigadier general of the 2nd Brigade, the 16th division commander of the 6th column of the East China Field Army, and the 68th division commander of the 23rd Army of the 7th Corps of the 3rd Field Army. Participated in Laiwu, Huaihai, Du Jiang and Shanghai battles. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as the chief of staff of the 23rd Army of the Seventh Corps. Participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, served as the chief of staff of the 23rd Army of the Volunteers, and was the first deputy commander and chief of staff of the 24th Army. After returning to China, he served as acting commander and commander of the 24th Army, deputy chief of staff of Beijing Military Region and deputy commander of Beijing Military Region. It promoted the revolutionization, modernization and regularization of the army. Elected as a member of the Fifth National Committee of China People's Political Consultative Conference. 1955 was awarded the rank of major general, 1988 was awarded the Second Class August 1st Medal, the Second Class Medal of Independence and Freedom, the First Class Medal of Liberation and the First Class Medal of Red Star Meritorious Service. 1979 left his job to rest, and died in Beijing on May 2, 2006 due to illness.
