Guizhou Chishui Danxia National Geopark is located in Chishui City, Guizhou Province, on the southern edge of Sichuan Basin, near the northern foot of Dalou Mountain in northern Guizhou and west of Yangtze paraplatform. It is the representative of Danxia landform in early youth, with an area of 1200 square kilometers, and it is the largest Danxia landform in China.
Chishui Danxia includes a national nature reserve, two national forest parks and a national scenic spot, which is located in the core area of the national nature reserve of rare and endemic fish in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It mainly includes Shizhangdong Scenic Area, Bingan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area, Chishui Alsophila National Nature Reserve and Chishui Bamboo Sea National Forest Park.
Chishui Danxia, Hunan _ Mountain, Guangdong Danxia Mountain, Fujian Taining Mountain, Jiangxi Longhu Mountain and Zhejiang Jianglang Mountain combined to form "China Danxia", which was voted by the 34th World Heritage Conference and became the eighth world natural heritage project in China.
Chishui Danxia is located in the southern margin of Sichuan Basin, the largest red bed basin in China, and in the transitional zone between Guizhou Plateau and Sichuan Basin. The development of Danxia landform in Chishui is in the early stage of revival, with canyons, cliffs, streams and waterfalls all over the area. Danxia landform is dominated by plateau canyon type and mountain canyon type, with deep canyons, broken ground and large ups and downs. The highest altitude is about 1730m and the lowest altitude is 240m. The relative height difference is nearly 1500m, with 1600 ~ 1700m, 1400 ~ 1500m, 1200m ~. The Cretaceous Jiading Group is the core material basis for the development of Danxia landform in Chishui. It is mainly composed of thick red sandstone mixed with siltstone in river and lake facies, with hard rocks, strong erosion resistance, vertical joints, multi-canyon cliffs and other tall and majestic Danxia landforms. Jurassic strata are mainly purplish red, purplish gray sandstone, mudstone and shale, with soft lithology and weak erosion resistance, mainly in the form of erosion-erosion of red rocks, hills and other landforms, with gentle slope.
Datong-Bing 'an Park
Geographical coordinates of Datong-Bing 'an Park: north latitude10537 ′ 38 ″ ~10551′ 50 ″, 28 24 ′ 37 ″ ~ 28 29 ′ 29 ″, with an area of 71.03. The park is dominated by Danxia landform, waterfall landscape and relict plant, including Danxia Cliff, Danxia Stone Column, Tiansheng Bridge and waterfall landscape, as well as historical and cultural landscape resources such as Bing 'an Ancient Town and Sidu Chishui. It is a park integrating science and education, natural sightseeing and humanistic edification.
According to the characteristics of centralized distribution of natural landscape and administrative divisions, the park is divided into Sidonggou Scenic Area, Yang Jiayan Scenic Area and Bing 'an Scenic Area.
Sidonggou scenic spot
Sidonggou Scenic Area is located in a tributary of Datong River, which is 15km away from the urban area and is under the jurisdiction of Datong Town. The main landscape is residual plants and four waterfalls, with a scenic area of 14.98km ... In addition, it also includes the negative landform of Danxia-Tiansheng Bridge, small structures and so on.
Yang Jiayan scenic spot
Yang Jiayan Scenic Area is located on the Huaping River in Datong Town, which is 16 kilometers away from the city. Under the jurisdiction of Datong Town, it is characterized by large-scale single cave, red honeycomb Danxia mural stone gallery, supplemented by multi-level original ecological waterfalls, mud cracks, residual plants and other small structures. The scenic spot is 23.39 kilometers.
Bing' an scenic spot
Bing 'an Scenic Area is located in the southwest of Chishui City, 24 kilometers away from the urban area. It is under the jurisdiction of Bing 'an Town, including Danxia Qifeng Rock, Bing 'an Castle, Red Army Long March Site and other special landscapes, with a scenic area of 32.5 1 km.
Lianghekou-Hou Yuan Park
The geographical coordinates of Lianghekou-Hou Yuan Park are:10546 ′ 20 ″ ~10556 ′14 ″, and the north latitude is 63.7438+06 ′ 37 ″ ~ 28 22 ′ 42 ″. The area is also dominated by Danxia landform, waterfall landscape and residual plants, including Danxia cliff, Danxia stone pillar, Danxia stone peak and waterfall landscape, in addition to ancient collapse and accumulation, lakes and swamps landscape, and Danxia combined landform in the form of hills and canyons. It is a park integrating popular science education and natural sightseeing.
The park includes two scenic spots: Lion Mountain Scenic Area and Guiyuan Scenic Area.
Shiziyan scenic spot
Lion Rock Scenic Area is located on the east side of Panlong River, 27 kilometers away from the urban area, and is under the jurisdiction of Lianghekou Township. It mainly includes various types of Danxia landforms and single-stage waterfalls, with a scenic area of 46.22 kilometers.
Gui garden scenic spot
Gui Garden Scenic Area is located in Gui Garden Village and Shilin Village of Houyuan Town, 42 kilometers away from the urban area. Under the jurisdiction of Hou Yuan Town, it is mainly composed of Danxia Stone Group of Shizhu, including various pictographic strange stones, with a scenic area of 17.49km. ..
Foguangyan Scenic Area is one of the scenic spots with the best development, the neatest outcrop and the most typical Danxia landform characteristics in Jurassic and Cretaceous in China.
The whole scenic spot includes two scenic spots: Foguangyan and Five Everest. Foguangyan wins with Danxia landform. As the name suggests, Foguang Rock is a Danxia stone wall like Buddha's light, with a ring-shaped top and straight upper and lower sides, like a huge vermilion gobbledygook, and the waterfall runs down, spectacular and shocking.
Five Mount Everest Scenic Area is a masterpiece of nature, which consists of five Danxia Mountain peaks in the same tower.
Plants and insects in the scenic area are another major attraction. Chishui mushroom trees are planted on both sides of the valley, and 15 blooms, with bitter flesh.

There is a road between Foguangyan and Five Everest, but it takes more than 4 hours to take the ring road. For example, it takes 2.5-3 hours to get to Foguangyan and Five Everest observation deck respectively.

There is no shuttle bus from Chishui to Foguangyan Five Everest Scenic Area. Take the "Chishui-Taipingdu" coach at Chishui Tourist Bus Station, buy a ticket to "Daqun", and tell the driver to take you to Foguangyan after getting on the bus. The bus will stop at the entrance of Foguangyan Scenic Area, and the fare is 15 yuan. On the way back, after seeing both sides, you can take a bus back to the gate of the scenic spot, wait for the bus back to Chishui, and wave to stop.
