There are generally two kinds of French kings now, one is appointed with the approval of the government, and the other is granted by sects to laymen who have contributed to the development of religion. At present, the five recognized French kings in the world. They are the leaders of the five major sects of Tibetan Buddhism, namely, His Holiness Sakya of Sakya Sect, King Dabao of Kagyu Sect, King Beno of Nima Sect, King Mercy of Gelug Sect and King Manchu of Yongzhong Sect.
