At the beginning of 2008, the "Notice on Soliciting Opinions on the Lyrics of the School Song of South China University of Technology" was issued, and the lyrics of the school song 1 round were collected and created from various groups such as on-the-job faculty, students, retired faculty and alumni through various means such as internet and papers. Teachers, students, staff and alumni all attach great importance to the collection of school songs and lyrics, and have devoted great enthusiasm. They put forward more than 100 modification suggestions through letters, emails, faxes and telephone calls, and some of them even wrote new lyrics. (1 phone)
In mid-2008, a website for soliciting and voting the lyrics of school songs was opened on the school homepage, and the lyrics of 1 8 collected in round1were published online, so as to mobilize teachers and students to solicit the lyrics of the second round of school songs by voting. In the first half of 2009, the third round of soliciting opinions on the lyrics of school songs was released, and a symposium was held for representatives of professional teachers of the Art College, inviting them to organize the lyrics creation of school songs. On the basis of three rounds of solicitation activities, after comprehensive consideration and repeated comparison, seven lyrics were selected. (third call)
2. Create music and determine alternative songs.
Art college and related teachers compose 7 lyrics to form a complete sample of school songs. On June 5438+ 10, 2009, a symposium was held for the heads of relevant units, employees, retirees and students' representatives, and the fourth round of opinions was collected on the creation of school songs, collecting opinions and suggestions on seven school songs samples. Three songs representing March Edition, Lyric Edition and Hero Edition were initially identified as alternative songs. (fourth call)
3. Improve the alternative school songs and put forward the candidate tracks of the final songs.
After the three alternative songs were revised, representatives from different groups and music teachers from the Art College were organized to listen carefully and collect opinions for the fifth round. (fifth call)
After listening to the relevant opinions and making amendments, ask for the opinions of relevant professional teachers again. (sixth call)
At the end of 2009, three alternative songs were released on the school homepage, which received the active participation of teachers, students, staff and alumni, and the hit rate was nearly 10,000 in a short time. At the same time, we sent samples of school songs to alumni, students, retired teachers and professional teachers through the relevant personnel of the public relations department, the Youth League Committee, the retired work office and the Art College to solicit opinions from all sides, and organized a certain scale audition at different levels. At the graduation ceremony of students in the summer of 20 10, we also organized graduates to practice singing three alternative songs. (seventh call)
At the end of 20 10, we once again asked the relevant parties for their opinions and suggestions on the three alternative songs. Finally, based on the opinions from all sides, the Song of the School of South China University of Technology, one of the three alternative songs composed by Liang Jun and lyrics of South China University of Technology, was revised and polished, and was determined as the final candidate song of the school song of South China University of Technology, and finally submitted to the school for approval.
