Huaian Experimental Primary School was founded by patriotic educator Mr. Li Gengsheng on 1908. A hundred years of history has accumulated rich cultural heritage, formed excellent school-running traditions and distinctive school-running characteristics, and is the first batch of experimental primary schools and demonstration schools in Jiangsu Province.

The school covers an area of 26,000 square meters with a building area of 35,000 square meters. There are 134 classes (including kindergartens) with 7000 students and 450 teaching staff.
