Optometrist qualification classification:
The qualification of optometrists is divided into three grades, namely, assistant optometrist, optometrist and senior optometrist.
The required education for an assistant optometrist is: bachelor degree or above or equivalent. College degree or above or equivalent graduates with relevant practical experience.
The required qualifications of optometrists are: those who have passed the qualification certification of assistant optometrists. Postgraduate degree or above or equivalent. Bachelor degree or above or equivalent and engaged in related work for more than one year. College degree or above or equivalent and engaged in related work for more than two years.
The qualifications required for a senior optometrist are: those who have passed the optometrist qualification certification. Graduate degree or above or equivalent and engaged in related work for more than one year. Bachelor degree or above or equivalent and engaged in related work for more than two years. College degree or above or equivalent and engaged in related work for more than three years.
First, the optometrist qualification examination conditions
1, age 18 or above, college degree or above;
2. Training in optometrist qualification training institutions, reaching the required hours, and obtaining a graduation or completion certificate;
3, engaged in optometrist occupation practice for more than two years or optometrist occupation practice expires.
The optometrist qualification certificate is mainly issued by two departments, one is issued by the health department, which is mainly suitable for ophthalmologists in hospitals, and the other is issued by the labor department. Almost all optometrists in optical shops use certificates issued by the labor department. And now some institutions have correspondence courses that provide optometrist qualification certificates.
Second, the work content
1. Check eyesight and general appearance of eyes.
2. Use optometry instrument, ophthalmoscope, test frame and test lens to test the diopter of eyes and write a reasonable prescription for optometry.
3. Use neutralization method and operate diopter detector to detect and identify the diopter of lens.
4. The combination of spherical lens, the movement of optical center and prism are numerically calculated and photometric conversion is carried out.
5. Determine a reasonable allocation plan for candidates.
