Lanting Calligraphy Award is the highest award of calligraphy art in China approved by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee. Lanting Award is jointly sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, China Book Association, Anhui Provincial Government and Hefei Municipal Government, co-organized by Anhui Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Hefei Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and undertaken by Anhui Book Association and Hefei Anmei Real Estate Investment and Development Group. This year's China Lanting Calligraphy Award consists of five awards, namely: Art Award, Theory Award, Education Award, Editing and Publishing Award and Lifelong Achievement Award. 10 2006 10 from 23rd to 30th, a jury composed of well-known experts from all over the country made a rigorous review of 5,000 contributions in Beijing and Hefei respectively, and finally 420 works were awarded the art prize and 30 won the prize. In addition, 17 theory award, 14 education award, 15 editing and publishing award and four lifetime achievement awards were awarded. Zhu's father/Wang Xuezhong,,, Ouyang Zhongshi, five respected artists of the older generation in the book world, won the lifetime achievement award of the Lanting Award; Nine people, including Xing Wu, Wang Dongling and Wang Hongli, and "Momo Treasures: Rare Inscription Series Collected by Shanghai Library" won the first prizes of Lanting Prize in art, education, theory and editing and publishing respectively.
