In the second year of Guangxu, Li Guilin, a scholar, was appointed as the editor of the Imperial Academy and served as the magistrate of Datong Prefecture.

In the sixth year of Guangxu (1880), Li Guilin was appointed as the examiner. In the eleventh year of Guangxu, he was the examiner in Guizhou Province; Nineteen years as an examiner in Henan Province; Twenty-three years, after having obtained the provincial examination in Shandong. I went to Jilin in the middle. Jilin General Changshun hired Guilin, the general manager, to compile Ji Linzhi, with a volume of 122.

In the 24th year of Guangxu, Li Guilin became the magistrate of Datong Prefecture. Governance is still calm, and the domestic society is stable.
