Deng Qiyao, male, Han nationality, born in Shunde, Guangdong, 1952 was born in Kunming in February. Professor, doctoral supervisor and vice president of School of Communication and Design.

Education and work resume

1971August-1978 September in Kunming bus terminal, as a lathe worker and artist; During his time as an artist (1972- 1978), he sketched in ethnic minority areas many times;

1977- 1978 studied in the news short course of Chinese Department of Yunnan University, and lived in Tibetan areas for more than 4 months;

1978 ——1982 was admitted to the Chinese Department of Yunnan University as the secretary-general of the Student Union; During my study, I participated in many folklore surveys organized by the Folk Literature and Art Teaching and Research Section.

1982- 1986 worked as a magazine editor and a civil servant;

1986 transferred to the Institute of Ethnic Literature of Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, and was hired as an assistant researcher in July of the following year;

1in April 1992, he was promoted to associate researcher and served as deputy director;

1In August, 1993, he was promoted to researcher of Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences and leader of ethnology.

1994-2000 10 served as director of the Institute of Ethnic Literature of Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, director of the Ethnic Art Research Center of Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, and president and editor-in-chief of Camellia Human Geography magazine;

In February 2000, he was transferred to the Anthropology Department of Sun Yat-sen University as a professor and deputy director.

In May 2003, he concurrently served as the vice president of the School of Communication and Design of Sun Yat-sen University (presiding).
