The main direction is seismic sedimentology, seismic paleogeomorphology analysis, digital reservoir, virtual reality and other technical development. He has been engaged in exploration and development research in Songliao Basin, Bohai Bay Basin, Junggar Basin, Qaidam Basin and Tuha Basin for a long time, and participated in more than 50 research projects. In recent years, great progress has been made in the analysis of seismic paleogeomorphology. The theory of sequence stratigraphy is developed, the theoretical system and technical process of seismic palaeogeomorphology analysis are improved, the research method of seismic palaeogeomorphology under the framework of sequence stratigraphy is put forward, and the technical system with three key technologies as the core is summarized, which makes a pioneering contribution to the development of seismic geomorphology in mainland China.
