The 14th National Cross-country Running Championship is sponsored by the Track and Field Management Center of the State Sports General Administration and undertaken by the provincial sports bureaus. The first competition was held in Luoping County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province from February 25th to 26th. A total of 274 athletes from 25 teams from all provinces and cities participated in the competition, and Yunnan player Yang Wei won 9 gold medals in the 10 project.
