Liu Jianguo 1988 graduated from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Xi Jiaotong University, 199 1 entered the Department of Computer Science and Technology of Peking University, majoring in computer network. After obtaining a master's degree, I stayed in school to engage in research and teaching. In the meantime, I participated in the planning and construction of Peking University campus network; Responsible for the design and development of the "multi-functional" part of the key project of the National Natural Science Foundation "Multimedia, Multi-functional and Multilingual E-mail System", realizing the interoperability between X.400 E-mail system and fax telecommunication system, and the lightweight directory access subsystem conforming to LDAP and DIXIE protocols; I am the technical director in the project of "Open System Communication Platform-Yin Yan Network Support System". The developed product-Yin Yan Network Support System is the first middleware software product in China, which has been successfully run in many enterprises and institutions. Presided over the development of Guizhou Construction Bank savings deposit and withdrawal system; 1995- 1997, responsible for the research and development of the national key 95 key project "large-scale information discovery system in Chinese and English", and presided over the development of the famous "Skynet" Chinese and English search engine as the technical director. 1997- 1998 was a visiting scholar in the computer science department of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, and studied real-time systems in the real-time systems laboratory of the department.
Liu Jianguo published more than ten articles in famous academic magazines and newspapers at home and abroad, and participated in writing two academic works. He has successively won the computer application science and technology progress award of China Construction Bank, the first prize of Guangdong financial system computer application science and technology progress award, the third natural science research achievement first prize of Peking University, the outstanding teacher award of Procter & Gamble Company of Peking University, the teaching excellence award of Peking University, and the outstanding young teacher award of Antai in Peking University.
Liu Jianguo started the research and product development of Chinese search engine on 1995, and became one of the earliest pioneers in this field in the world. He has rich knowledge in many technical fields involved in search engines, especially in information retrieval, computer network technology, distributed system, high-performance computing, Chinese information processing, large-scale system construction and operation. At the same time, Liu Jianguo has high attainments and rich experience in technical management, team management, product management and technical business application. Under his leadership, Baidu Technology Department has become one of the most technical teams in China, and has made outstanding contributions to Baidu becoming the world's largest Chinese search engine and occupying a leading position in the industry.
