Introduction of Devlin Geer Class Combat Cruiser
Devlinger Combat Cruiser (Gro? Kreuser-class battle cruiser is a German-made battle cruiser. The Defringer class is a newly designed combat cruiser of the German Navy. The budget for the construction of two ships was approved at 19 1 1, and the construction began between 19 12 and 19 13. The ship adopts Gao Qianping deck, and the bow has obvious side arc. For the first time, the German Navy adopted a 305 mm caliber main gun on a combat cruiser, and all the main guns were arranged along the center line of the hull deck. Compared with the previous German battle cruiser, the main gun turret is reduced, and the bow of the hull is equipped with two, so the main gun has a good range. The power system is an oil-coal mixed combustion boiler. This class of ship has increased the armor thickness, expanded the protection area and increased the number of watertight compartments. The watertight compartments at the stern of the ship adopt double longitudinal partitions. The overall protection of this class of ships is close to the level of early fearless ships, which shows the superb technical level of German shipbuilding industry.
