Resume of Chen Peixun
Hepu, Guangxi, was born in Hong Kong. I studied piano with my uncle since I was a child, and studied piano, organ and composition in Hong Kong and Shanghai. From 65438 to 0939, he entered the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he studied the composition techniques of Hendry from Tan Xiaolin. Teaching in art colleges in Hong Kong, Qujiang, Chongqing and Shanghai. After 1949, he served as an associate professor, professor and director of the orchestration teaching and research section of the Central Conservatory of Music for a long time. In the 1980s, he taught in the Art Education Department of Hong Kong Baptist College. After studying orchestration with Soviet experts Arapov and Gunov, he returned to Hong Kong to live. During this period, he created many little-known music works in Chinese mainland: the small symphony Spring Festival (the first movement: lyrical prelude Spring Festival); The second movement: Red Plum, one of the symphonic dances; The third movement: interlude-two Yunnan folk songs; The fourth movement: the second symphony dance "Spring Festival Celebration",1982); Gaohu's Concerto Theme of Guangdong Music (1983); Band and chorus "Children's Day Overture" (with Ye Huikang,1984); Symphony Youth (1986), etc. He died in Hong Kong in February 2006.
