Calligraphy and painting works won gold, silver and bronze prizes in the first national college students' calligraphy competition exhibition on 1982, and won the first prize for more than 20 times in more than 100 exhibitions at home and abroad, such as art exchange exhibitions in the United States, Japan and Singapore, and large-scale art fairs at home and abroad.
More than 50 national newspapers, CCTV and radio stations, including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, People's Liberation Army Daily, China Youth Daily, China Culture Daily, People's Public Security Daily and People's Armed Police Daily, made special reports. Wang Ping's Collection of Paintings and Calligraphy 1993 was published by Shaanxi People's Fine Arts Publishing House. Exquisite paintings and calligraphy works are widely collected by China Art Museum, American, Japanese, French and other multinational art groups and museums. He was invited to write inscriptions for places of interest such as Mount Tai, Mount Huangshan, Mount Kongtong, Mount Emei, Mount Wutai and Shilin.
He was hired as the deputy editor-in-chief of various dictionaries such as Who's Who in the World and International Hard Pen Calligrapher's Grand Ceremony, and was the judge at home and abroad of the 4th China Art Festival.
