Brief introduction of Baoshan temple
Baoshan Temple is located behind Wanbao Town, just across the street from Wanbao Town Government, with convenient transportation and rain or shine. Baoshan Temple was built in the 10th year of Qing Daoguang (1830). The original temple was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, and the existing temple was rebuilt in 1994. 1 The new temple covers an area of about 30,000 square meters and is divided into four sections. It is built according to the architectural style of traditional temples. The first entrance is the mountain gate. There are two marble flagpoles about 15 meters high in front of the gate. The mountain gate consists of the main entrance and two corner doors. The first thing you see when you enter the door is the bell tower and drum tower on both sides. Behind the Drum Tower is an open-air Guanyin statue as high as 10 meter. In front of the statue are two merit monuments surrounded by guardrails. Behind the bell tower is buddhist supplies Hall. Go straight along the cement tunnel and you will reach the second entrance of Baoshan Temple-Tianwang Hall. Tianwang Temple covers an area of about 65,438+000 square meters. The first thing you see from the main entrance is the gilded statue of Maitreya, flanked by four statues of heavenly kings and their guards, followed by the statue of Guanyin. Out of the King's Hall, Kannonji is in the east, where Guanyin Bodhisattva is enshrined, and the Tibetan King Bodhisattva is in the west. Behind the King's Hall is the third Mahatma Hall, covering an area of about 200 square meters. Opposite the door is the Buddha statue, flanked by two waiters like Ananda Galand, with eighteen arhats on both sides, and Guanyin statue behind the Tathagata. There are 26 Buddha statues in the Mahatma Hall, and the back of the Mahatma Hall is under planning. There are six monks in Baoshan Temple. There are more than 1000 Buddha statues in the whole temple. The temple fair in April every year attracts thousands of people to worship Buddha.
