20 18 middle school entrance examination is just around the corner. In order to do a better job in English teaching in Wuyi junior high school and further coordinate and improve the ninth grade English review in our county, on March 27th, 62 English teachers from all junior high schools participated in the ninth grade English teaching seminar organized by Xu, an English teaching researcher in the county junior high school.

Teacher Zhu's reading review class starts with cloze and text reading, and uses four problem-solving skills (context, logical logic, regular collocation and grammatical analysis) and three problem-solving steps (skipping, reading through the full text and grasping the main idea; Looking forward and looking back, it's easy first and then difficult, and each has its own breakthrough; Read the full text again, check it one by one, and verify the answers.) Combined with practical exercises, let students review and consolidate cloze through classroom exercises. In the part of text reading, Mr. Zhu used six reading skills to show students and teachers the practicability of problem-solving methods.

The second class is a composition review class of xia yang Middle School's teacher Zhou Xiaoqin about juvenile violence. Her language is very simple, the classroom links are closely linked, and the classroom content is simple. Mr. Zhou's accurate topic interpretation ability and exquisite writing teaching guidance make every student concentrate on the class and actively participate in the activities of this class.

The third lesson is a review lesson about vocabulary and reading fill-in-the-blank brought to us by Mr. Fu in the experimental middle school. Teacher Fu is good at combining his own reality with students' familiar campus life, introducing from friends, family and students, and interacting with students with vivid pictures and texts. The second part summarizes and comments from the perspective of part-of-speech conversion and grammar. In the second half of the class, Mr. Fu closely practiced the skills of filling in the blanks by reading short articles. Students have learned a lot in this class, and have a clearer understanding of how to answer such questions, which has benefited a lot.

In the afternoon, the diligent teachers forgot to have a rest, and under the organization of the researcher Xu, they started the afternoon discussion activities.

The first activity in the afternoon is a special report on English writing made by Mr. Zheng from Wuyang Middle School. With humor, approachable language and rich teaching practice and skills, Mr. Zheng gave a very referential composition review lecture to the teachers present. Among them, there are many easy-to-learn and easy-to-use writing skills, daily advanced vocabulary and sentence patterns, which provide teachers with a lot of reference for writing teaching and win enthusiastic response from everyone.

The teaching and research team leaders from seven schools in the county made a detailed analysis of the ninth grade entrance examination in their respective schools, and shared the teaching progress with the on-site teachers, providing some reference for everyone.

Finally, according to the average score, excellent rate, passing rate, multiple-choice questions, composition and other data of Jinhua and Wuyi schools, the teaching researcher Xu put forward some teaching requirements for everyone: emphasizing context, highlighting discourse, paying attention to pragmatics and so on.

? This semester, junior high school English work in the county is arranged as proposition competition, teaching thesis and one excellent course for one teacher. Xu teacher also emphasized the section that English teachers need to strengthen now: to spread China culture in English! This also gives all English teachers a clear message: English teachers should not only introduce foreign cultures, but more importantly, teach students to understand the profound China culture, and better carry forward our excellent traditional culture through English as a language medium.
