Where does the Fenhe River flow?
Fenhe River flows into the Yellow River from the north of Shanxi to the south. Fenhe River is in Shanxi. Originated at the foot of Guancen Mountain in Ningwu, Shanxi Province, it runs through the north and south of Shanxi Province, flows through Jingle County, Gujiao City, Taiyuan City, Qingxu County, Qixian County, Jiexiu City, huozhou city, Hongtong County, Linfen City and houma city, and joins the Yellow River near Hejin.

Brief introduction of Fenhe River:

1, Fenhe River, called "Fen" in ancient times, is also called Fenshui, the second largest tributary of the Yellow River, hence its name. Traditionally, the source of Leiming Temple Spring under Guancen Mountain in ningwu county is believed to be Xiling Village, Taipingzhuang Township, Shenchi County.

2. Fenhe River flows through 29 counties (districts) in six cities of Shanxi Province, namely Xinzhou City, Taiyuan City, Lvliang City, Jinzhong City, Linfen City and Yuncheng City, with a total length of 713km and a drainage area of 3,9721km2, and flows into the Yellow River in Qian Miao Village, Ronghe Town, Wanrong County.

3. The political, historical, cultural and economic status of Fenhe River in Shanxi Province is very important. Fenhe River is the largest river in Shanxi, which is called the mother river by Shanxi people and has a far-reaching influence on the history and culture of Shanxi Province. Many place names (Fenyang, Xiangfen, etc. ) and product name (Fenhe) all come from Fenhe River.

Second, the formation and evolution of Fenhe River:

Influenced by the meridional tectonic systems such as Luliang Mountain and Taihang Mountain, the Fenhe River system developed into a river in a series of graben basins. The ancient Fenhe River is longer and bigger. In the late Pliocene, Fenhe River has a long history, flowing through Ding Xin, Taiyuan, Linfen, Yuncheng and other four great basin cities, passing through Zhongtiao Mountain and flowing south, and merging into the Yellow River in Jinmao, Pinglu County. After the Himalayan movement, both sides were attacked. According to textual research, the upper reaches of modern Hutuo River still entered Taiyuan Basin from Shiling Pass in the early Pleistocene, and it is the east branch of the upper reaches of Fenhe River. Later, due to the rapid traceability erosion of the Shilingguan uplift and the rivers on the east side of Taihang Mountain, it attacked the east branch of Fenhe River and became the upper reaches of Hutuo River, leaving an unnatural bend in the landform, while Fenhe retained the west branch and became the upper reaches of Fenhe River. In Pliocene, the lower reaches of Fenhe River still flowed into the Yellow River through the Yuncheng Basin in the south, but it was revived by the ne-trending fault in the Sushui River Valley, causing it to fall again, causing the ancient Fenhe River to turn around and run along the lower reaches of the Sushui River Valley and merge into the Yellow River near Yongji County.

Three, Fenhe Reservoir Project:

Three large reservoirs have been built in the whole basin of Fenhe River, namely Fenhe Reservoir, Fenhe Reservoir II and Wenyuhe Reservoir. There are 0/3 medium-sized reservoirs/kloc-and 50 small reservoirs. Control the total basin area 17665 square kilometers, accounting for 45% of the total basin area. Total storage capacity 1508 1 100 million cubic meters.

1. Fenhe Reservoir is the largest reservoir in Shanxi Province, located in the upper reaches of Fenhe River, north of Xiashijiazhuang Village, Dujiaoqu Town, loufan county, 83km away from Guancenshan 122km, the birthplace of Fenhe River, and Taiyuan, the provincial capital, with a controlled drainage area of 5,268km. The reservoir was built in 1958 and operated in 196 1 year. The designed total storage capacity is 72 1 100 million cubic meters, the maximum backwater length is 18 kilometers, and the maximum backwater area is 32 square kilometers. This is a large-scale (2) water conservancy control project focusing on flood control and irrigation, taking into account power generation and fish farming. The design criteria are once-in-a-century flood design and once-in-two-thousand flood check.

2. The Second Fenhe Reservoir is located on the main stream of Fenhe River, 30 kilometers northwest of Taiyuan City, and at the intersection of Fenhe River and Liulin River, 30 kilometers northwest of the Second Fenhe Reservoir in Taiyuan City. It is a large-scale water conservancy project with flood control and water supply as its main functions and comprehensive benefits such as power generation, tourism and aquaculture. The reservoir controls a watershed area of 2,348 square kilometers with a total storage capacity of10.33 billion cubic meters.

3. Wenyuhe Reservoir, located in the northwest of Beiyukou Village, Wenshui County, at the junction of upstream and downstream Pingchuan of Wenyuhe River, is the outlet area of Wenyuhe River Valley, belonging to one of the six major reservoirs in Shanxi Province, with a storage capacity of1.1.300 million cubic meters and a water surface of about 4 square kilometers.
