1928 On February 6th, two young revolutionaries, a man and a woman, held a wedding calmly in the face of the enemy's gun. Comrade Zhou Wenyong, one of the leaders of the Guangzhou Uprising Action Committee, and Comrade Chen Tiejun, a female member of the Guangdong and Guangxi District Committee of the Communist Party of China at that time.
Chen Tiejun was born in a family of overseas Chinese businessmen. Under the impact of the revolutionary wave of the May 30th Movement, she changed from a college student who pursued personal progress to a revolutionary who cared about the future of the country and the nation and actively participated in progressive activities. She joined * * * on 1926. 1927, after Chiang Kai-shek launched the "April 12th" counter-revolutionary coup in Shanghai, the "April 15th" counter-revolutionary event also took place in Guangzhou, and white terror enveloped Guangzhou. At this time, she assisted Comrade Zhou Wenyong in his work. Zhou Wenyong, secretary of the Working Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Guangzhou Municipal Committee, is preparing for an armed uprising day and night to resist the Kuomintang's massacre policy. Due to the need of work, the Party instructed Zhou Wenyong and Chen Tiejun to share a house and set up a secret contact point. In order to cover their work, they disguised themselves as husband and wife and carried out activities in secret. Loyalty to the party, love for the people, mutual assistance in work and life-and-death struggle have closely linked these two young people. But at that time, they all focused on their careers and ignored personal love.
1927 After the failure of the Guangzhou Uprising, Guangzhou fell into a sea of blood slaughtered by the enemy. Zhou Wenyong and Chen Tiejun, who took an active part in the uprising, continued their underground struggle in Guangzhou after the uprising failed. Because of the traitor's betrayal, both of them were arrested and imprisoned at the same time. In prison, they persisted in their struggle. Zhou Wenyong wrote this poem on the wall: "The head can be broken and the limbs can be broken, but the revolutionary spirit cannot be destroyed. The head of a strong man is the party, and the body of a brave man is a group crack! "
1928 On February 6th, Zhou Wenyong and Chen Tiejun were taken to the execution ground by the enemy. The two martyrs were calm and sang "Internationale" with their heads held high. At the Honghuagang execution ground in Guangzhou, Chen Tiejun announced to the surrounding people: "We are going to hold a wedding, and let the gunfire of the reactionaries be used as a salute for marriage!" A pair of revolutionary lovers died heroically and generously.
