Mainly engaged in the teaching of agricultural plant pathology and plant quarantine, as well as the investigation of tropical crop diseases, the study of occurrence regularity, the study of chemical agents and biological control agents, the cloning and functional identification of pathogenic genes of pathogenic bacteria.

He has presided over or participated in 10 projects such as the national support plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the science and technology platform of the Ministry of Agriculture, the standardization of the Ministry of Agriculture, and the provincial natural science fund. Representative projects include the Pilot Program for Standardization, Integration and Sharing of Tropical Crop Germplasm Resources (2005 DKA 2 1005-46)- the sub-project Formulation of Technical Regulations for Identification of Tropical Crops Disease Resistance (II), and the Research on Prevention and Control Technology of Major Diseases and Pests in Tropical Agriculture and Forestry (2005DKA2 1000), a project of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

He won 2 second prizes for teaching achievements of Hainan Provincial Education Department, 1 ST prize for scientific research of Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences 1 item, 2 first prizes for school-level teaching of Hainan University, 3 rd prize 1 item, 5 textbooks or monographs for deputy editor, published 8 papers 1 item in important journals at home and abroad, and applied for national patent1item.
