Brief introduction of Zhang.
Mr. Zhang studied under Professor and Professor Jiang Tianshu. In terms of theoretical explanation, he benefited from Professor Jia Zhifang.

1952 autumn, due to the adjustment of departments, it was transferred from the Chinese Department of private Shanghai College to the Chinese Department of Fudan University. This is the golden age of the Chinese Department of Fudan University, where famous teachers gather. As soon as he entered Fudan, he was influenced by professors Zhu Dongrun and Jia Zhifang. Teacher Zhu is an expert who is not bound by authority, dares and is good at independent thinking. At that time, he taught them ancient literature and put forward his own different views on many mainstream opinions at that time, all of which had their own basis. For example, Mr. Zhu strongly refuted the statement that The Book of Songs was written by the people, which was almost recognized by the academic community. This made him feel very excited and took this spirit of scholarship as an example. And Mr. Zhu is also very appreciative of him, which has been vividly described in his autobiography.

1956 In the autumn, Mr. Zhang, as a teaching assistant of the Chinese Department, began to accept the guidance of Professor Jiang Tianshu. Mr. Jiang graduated from Tsinghua National Studies Institute and is a disciple of Mr. Chen Yinque. He was appreciated and trusted by Mr. Chen because of his meticulous scholarship, and was later entrusted with the important task of preserving and editing his complete works. He asked Mr. Zhang to lay a solid foundation in history and linguistics, spend three years reading the dialects in Zhu Duan, Er Ya Zhu Shu, Er Ya Yi Shu and Shuo Wen, and at the same time reading Tong Jian, proofreading the first four histories, and extensively reading the works on catalogues, editions and collations, from Han Shu Literature and Art Records to Lin Shu. This has enabled Mr. Zhang to enter a new academic realm. Although I studied hard, I gained a lot. Therefore, Professor Ito Shuping, a famous Japanese scholar, once said when talking about the experts studying literature in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties at Fudan University: "Academically, Professor Zhang, who studied under Professor Jiang Tianshu, the brother of Dr. Chen Yinque at Fudan University, is different from Professor Zhao in style of study. His skill is to put forward bold and brand-new assumptions according to bibliography and philology, and then try to confirm them. " On the other hand, he studied China's modern literature and literary theory from Professor Jia Zhifang at 1952, and he also understood the importance of studying the original works of Marxism seriously. In high school, he read Lu Xun's novels and essays more than once. At this time, he systematically read the literary masterpieces from the beginning of new literature to the 1930s, and also carefully read Hu Feng's eight essays. Later, although he turned to study ancient literature, he was still interested in modern literature and literary theory, and repeatedly studied Marxist original works such as Holy Family, German Ideology, Anti-Turin Theory and Das Kapital. He himself said that in his evaluation and interpretation of ancient literature, he often put forward some opinions different from those of the sages, which is really due to his learning experience.
