Although it is located in the mountainous area at the junction of Guangdong and Jiangxi, its peaceful history and culture have a long history. Among peace county's ancient poems, the Eight Scenes of Peace are the most praised places by ancient scholars. These eight scenic spots are Dongshan Songcui, Gao Quan Ancient Temple, Xianling Stone, Wuhua Yu Xiu, Tian Li Xianyan, North Building Gu Song, Tietan jathyapple and Heshui Hengzhou. It is said that Wang Yangming also wrote the poem "Eight Scenes of Peace":

Eight Scenes of Taiping is an ancient name. At present, there are only five kinds of flowers, namely, Yu Xiu, Litianxianyan and Xianlingshi, which remain basically unchanged. The ancient temple in Gao Quan and the verdant scenery of Dongshan have been rebuilt, but the Gu Song in the north building, jathyapple in Tietan and the boat in Heshui can't be seen.
