Chen, born on April 8th, 1935, from Anxi, Fujian, 1956 became a China citizen. He is currently a consultant, professor, doctoral supervisor and professional technical major general of National University of Defense Technology. He has devoted nearly 50 years to the computer industry of our army, achieved fruitful results and made outstanding contributions to the development of China's computer industry. He has served as director of Galaxy Storage Room, director of computer department and director of research institute.

1990 was awarded the title of young and middle-aged expert by the Ministry of Labor. He paid great attention to the quality of teaching and achieved fruitful results in the combination of teaching, scientific research and industry. 1989 and 1993 were awarded the special prize and the first prize of excellent teaching achievement by the State Education Commission respectively. There are 23 doctoral students and 23 master students 16. He has published more than 200 reports and papers, including Computer Core Memory and Parallelization Theory and Technology of Large-scale Parallel Machine Programs.

He used to be the director and executive director of China Computer Federation, the deputy director of the Architecture Committee and the deputy director of the Information Storage Committee; Part-time and visiting professor in Xiamen University and other institutions.

After 1994, he presided over and participated in the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" and "Ninth Five-Year Plan" national defense pre-research projects to train graduate students. 1996 was awarded the title of "Science and Technology Star of Hunan Province". 1997 won the first prize of Guanghua Science and Technology Fund. In 2002, he was promoted to a first-class professor.
