Closed cases of infringement of portrait rights
The plaintiff Wang Longjiang once worked in a scenic spot. During the period, the scenic spot organized employees such as Wang Longjiang to take demonstration photos of tourism projects, and Wang Longjiang cooperated in taking photos such as firearms and archery. The scenic spot will print a group of photos including Wang Longjiang's photos into poster pages and send them to tourists together with the tickets. Subsequently, a giant billboard was set up in a prominent position in the scenic spot, and a photo of Wang Longjiang holding a gun was sprayed on the billboard. Regarding the above-mentioned behavior of the scenic spot, Wang Longjiang admitted that he knew it and did not raise any objection. In 2002, the scenic spot provided Wang's photo to the Municipal Tourism Bureau, which printed the photo into playing cards and distributed it to tourists as souvenirs. Wang Longjiang complained that the scenic spot and tourism bureau used my portrait in giant billboards, brochures and playing cards without my permission, and for the purpose of making profits, they demanded the defendant to stop the infringement, dismantle and destroy the billboards, brochures and playing cards containing my portrait, and compensate the economic losses of 20,000 yuan and 5,000 yuan respectively.
