After graduating from Fudan University, Cao Huayi began to devote himself to the fields of book editing and publishing because of his major and his own preferences, and often invited writers to contribute.

In the late 1990s, Cao Huayi began to enter the field of film and television drama production, and the earliest TV series "The City of Flashy" was completed.
