This training is to prepare for the Asian Men's Basketball Championship held in Changsha, Hunan Province from September 23rd to 20th16th13rd, October, 2065438, as well as the qualifiers for the Rio Olympic Games.

The first announced players are: Li Rongpei (Tianjin), Sui Ran, Ding Yanyuhang, Tao Hanlin (Shandong), Janice (Zhejiang), Yi Li (Jiangsu), Han Shuo, Zou (Bayi), Wang Zhelin, Zhao Tailong (Fujian), Rejiang, Ke Makan, Qi Zhou and Liu Wei (Xinjiang). Li Muhao, (Dongguan), (Zhejiang) and Cui (Jilin) were selected for the second batch of training.

It is worth mentioning that two legendary centers of China men's basketball team, Yao Ming and Wang, will assist head coach Gong in this training, Wang will be the head coach, and Yao Ming will still help the national team as a consultant.

As the CBA League is still in the semi-final competition stage, Yi Jianlian, Zhu, Guo and other well-known domestic players have not been selected for the training list.
