Second, a brief introduction of Jilin Art Institute
Jilin Art College is the only comprehensive art college in Northeast China. The school's predecessor was Lu Xun College of Literature and Art of Northeastern University, which sprouted in 1946. Jilin Art College was founded in 1958, and 1978 was renamed Jilin Art College. 1993, approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, became a master's degree awarding unit, and gradually established its leading position in higher art education in Northeast China.
The school is located in the prosperous downtown area, with four campuses, namely, performance, modeling, synthesis and urban art, and three teaching units, such as Music College, Fine Arts College, Design College, Drama Film College, Dance College, New Media College, Animation College, Art Education College, Art Management College, Pop Music College, Drama College, Urban Art College and affiliated middle school. There are 8460 full-time students, including 890 graduate students and 7570 undergraduate students. The functions of the school "the cradle of cultivating talents, the base of inheriting culture, the source of artistic innovation and the window of guiding aesthetics" are increasingly obvious.
Adhering to tradition, carrying forward advantages, and following the law of art higher education, the school actively implements the "Teaching Quality Improvement Project" and "Innovative Art Talents Training Project", establishes the concept of "project-driven teaching, deepening teaching through scientific research, promoting teaching through exhibition, and testing teaching through practice", and strives to cultivate high-quality applied and innovative art talents. At present, undergraduate majors 465 and 438+0 basically cover all kinds of art majors in the professional catalogue of colleges and universities, among which musicology, visual communication design and performance are national majors, painting and other four majors are provincial brand majors, and broadcasting and hosting and other six majors are provincial majors. There are five master's degree authorization points in music and dance, art, design, drama, film and television, and art theory, and three master's degree authorization points in art, news communication and landscape architecture; Five master's programs in first-level disciplines were approved as high-level disciplines with the characteristics of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", among which three disciplines of design, art, music and dance were approved as first-level disciplines with the characteristics of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan". The number of specialties with national characteristics, first-class disciplines at the provincial level, and scientific research platforms above the provincial level all rank among the top in the national local art colleges.

School teachers have undertaken a large number of national projects such as the National Social Science Fund, the National Art Fund, the Humanities and Social Sciences Project of the Ministry of Education, and the National Education Science Planning Project of the Ministry of Education, among which 44 projects have been funded by the National Art Fund, ranking among the top applicants in the country. The Russian master class of the Ministry of Education has been held continuously, and it has been determined by the Ministry of Education as the only Sino-Russian university art exchange base. At present, the school has carried out 2+2, 3+ 1 student joint training programs with York University, Northumbria University, University of Hooverhampton and Huddersfield University, and has also carried out student exchanges with City University of Macau, Taiwan Province University of Arts and Taiwan Province University of Chinese Culture.
