Zhu, born in Pingxiang, Jiangxi Province, 1954 was born in Yichun, Jiangxi Province, 1970 joined the army, and 1986 graduated from the First Department of Arts of the People's Liberation Army. He has served as Minister of Literature, Deputy Minister, Minister and Deputy Minister of Military Art Training. Outstanding teachers of the whole army, winners of special allowances from the State Council, and the first batch of military art leaders. Now he is a professor at the Institute of Military Literature and Art, with a third-level major. Vice President of China Mao Zedong Poetry Research Association, member of National Committee of Chinese Writers Association, deputy director of Military Literature Committee, and member of China Calligraphers Association. He used to be a judge of Lu Xun Literature Award, Mao Dun Literature Award, Five One Project Award of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, China Book Publishing Government Award of the General Administration of Press and Publication, an expert in the evaluation of national publishing fund projects, and a guest speaker of CCTV.

In addition, Mao Zedong's Interpretation of Poetry, Fifty Years of China's Military Literature, Selected Criticism of Zhu's Literary Theory, Mo Yan: The Honor of the Nobel Prize, etc. 16 kinds of monographs and literary theory collections with nearly 5 million words were published. He has won many awards, such as Lu Xun Literature Award, China People's Liberation Army Literature Award and National Social Science Fund Project Outstanding Achievement Award. Since 2005, he has held seven weekend lectures in National Defense University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, China Museum of Modern Literature, Beijing Luxun Museum, Central State Organs Working Committee, CCTV, and forums all over the country, and has been praised as "the first person to interpret Mao Zedong's poems at present" for nearly 200 times. Zhu is also a classmate of Mo Yan's military literature and art department. Thirty years ago, he said that Mo Yan was "unconstrained"; Twenty years ago, he said that Mo Yan would win the Nobel Prize. Today, he said Mo Yan is the honor of the Nobel Prize. Therefore, Zhu is also known as the first person who predicted Mo Yan.
