Gaoming Temple is located at Youxi, northeast of Tiantai County, Zhejiang Province 10 km. In Tiantai Mountain, about 8 kilometers away from the Imperial Palace. It was founded by Zhiyi (538-597), the founder of Tianru Buddhism in China, and has an important position in the history of Tiantai Buddhism. Now it is a national key Buddhist temple in the State Council. In 575, seven years after the establishment of Xuan Di in the Southern Dynasties, Zhiyi entered Tiantai Mountain. First, I married Lushan Mountain in Tianfengshan, calling myself "Xu Ling", and noted Nirvana Sutra here. After living in Buddha Mountain, he talked about Jing Mingjing. One day, while he was explaining Jing Mingjing, suddenly a strong wind blew and Ye Jing fluttered eastward. The master pursued the place where the scriptures fell, only to find that the mountains and valleys here were an ideal place for meditation, so he cut down trees and became the Youxi Dojo. After the death of the master, he preserved his used mantle and leaf sutra here and became a holy place for Buddhist practitioners to worship.
