On August 23rd, 2009, Zhong Nanshan Mountain in Qinling Mountain was officially selected as the World Geopark by UNESCO. Zhong Nanshan is located in the middle of Qinling Mountains in Shaanxi Province, also known as Taiyi Mountain, Difei Mountain, Zhong Nanshan Mountain and Zhounan Mountain, or Nanshan for short. It is the birthplace of Taoist culture, Buddhist culture, filial piety culture, longevity culture, Zhong Kui culture and God of Wealth culture, and it is also the allusion of "Wanshou Mountain is better than Nanshan Mountain" and "Southern Shortcut".
Generally, the origin of Taoism in Zhong Nanshan can be traced back to the time when Laozi entered Shanhaiguan to give lectures. In the foothills of zhouzhi county15km southeast, there is a balcony in the west section of Zhong Nanshan. According to legend, the official of Zhou Hangu ordered Yin to build a grass house here first, and it was named the view of grass house because of its star observation, which was later referred to as the view of building. Laozi built a platform in the south of Louguan, so he called it "lecture platform", and because he was located in Louguan, he was also called Louguan platform.
The Biography of Louguan says that "this palace view started from the beginning" and "this great religion started from the beginning." Following the Louguan, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty built Taiyi Palace in Dahekou, Zhong Nanshan in the following year as a sacrifice to Taiyi Mountain God at the beginning of Yuanfeng (1 10).
