Biography of Yiquan Wang Xiangzhai
During the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, Wushu developed well. During this period, many outstanding martial artists were born, and Guo was one of them. Guo is a disciple of Li Luoneng, a famous martial arts master and Xingyiquan master in the late Qing Dynasty. Guo was jailed for murder in his early years, but Guo didn't put down practicing martial arts in prison, and he also created a set of half-step boxing that was invincible in the world.

Guo Deyi's disciple who created Dachengquan in this topic refers to Wang Xiangzhai, a famous martial arts master in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China. According to legend, Wang Xiangzhai was a disciple of Xingyiquan master Guo in his later years. Dachengquan, formerly known as Italian boxing, originated from Xingyiquan. It is named Italian boxing because it focuses on guiding actions with thoughts. On the basis of Xingyiquan, Wang Xiangzhai combined his many years' practical experience of traveling and fighting to create Xingyiquan. Quan Yi changed the style of other boxing methods and emphasized the role of ideas in boxing. Therefore, Quan Yi has no fixed moves and routines, which is a novel boxing method.

As a famous martial artist in the late Qing Dynasty, Guo has excellent martial arts attainments and is always strict with his disciples, so not many people can insist on learning martial arts from him, and Wang Xiangzhai is one of them. It was under the guidance of a famous teacher like Guo that Wang Xiangzhai was able to achieve high martial arts attainments in his twenties, which laid a good foundation for him to improve Xingyiquan and create Dacheng Boxing.

On the other hand, in order to accumulate martial arts experience in actual combat, Wang Xiangzhai went out to visit martial arts masters from 1907, including learning martial arts with Sun Lutang, Shang Yunxiang, Huangmuqiao and north shaolin abbot Henglin at that time, and even got the guidance of these martial arts masters. After 20 years of study tour, Wang Xiangzhai created this set of Italian Boxing after summing up and learning the martial arts experience gained during this period, and later renamed it Dacheng Boxing.
