1984 graduated from the Department of Agriculture of Gansu Agricultural University, and 87 graduated from Northwest Institute of Botany, China Academy of Sciences with a master's degree.

1992 graduated from the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences with a doctorate.

1994.2-1996.10 did postdoctoral research in the molecular cytogenetics laboratory of the Center for Pasture and Grassland Research (Utah State University) and the molecular genetics laboratory of the Plant Research Center of the Canadian Ministry of Agriculture.

1997.4-1998.1postdoctoral research at the university of Tuscia, Italy. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research work of wheat genetic diversity and core collection construction, genome evolution and quality-related gene cloning. He presided over the National Transgenic Project (J98-0 18) and successfully cloned the coding genes of Xiaoyan 6 14 and 15 subunits. He presided over the National Natural Fund Project (39870494): Extension of molecular fingerprints of common wheat chromosome A, etc. Now he is in charge of the national key basic research project (G 19980 10202), such as the construction of wheat core germplasm in China.
