Early in the morning, Noxiong Ando (K ichi Sat), who has an unbearable past, receives a phone call from his colleague Miyashita (Tsurumi Shingo) and learns that his friend Takayama Ryuji (Hiroyuki Sanada), who was studying in a medical university, died unexpectedly. Ando dissected Takayama's body, ruled out the causes of suicide and homicide, and found that his friend died of myocardial infarction. Under the arrangement of the police, he meets Mai Takano (Miki Nakatani), the lover of Gaoshan, but he hears the story of his friend's death because of a videotape. Ando naturally won't believe this illusory speculation, but a few days later, Takayama's ex-wife Reiko Kobayakawa Asakawa (Matsushima Nanako) and her young son also died in a car accident, and the broken video recorder in the damaged car aroused Ando's suspicion.
