Daughter of the founding general Xu Haidong. 1939 was born in Yan 'an in May. 1958 was admitted to Beijing Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, 1960 transferred to Shanghai Second Military Medical University, and joined China the following year. 1965 "three good students" were assigned to work in Beijing Military Region General Hospital after graduation. Has been engaged in medical work.

After retirement, she enthusiastically participated in the dissemination and promotion of red memory and revolutionary tradition. She is currently the chairman of the choir of the descendants of the Founding Fathers. In 2008, she was named one of the top ten red tourist figures in China.
