From 2002 to 2004, I worked as a researcher at the University of Bielefeld in England and a visiting scholar at the University of Hong Kong in China, mainly studying information theory, combinatorial mathematics and their applications in computer science. Professor Cai Ning has been engaged in scientific research in frontier fields such as information theory, network coding and combinatorial mathematics for a long time, and has made outstanding achievements. In 2000, he first put forward the network coding theory with two collaborators and became one of the founders of the network coding theory; Professor Cai won the Best Paper Award of IEEE Information Theory Society in 2005 for his outstanding contribution in the field of network coding. Invited to be the invited editor of the joint special issue of IEEE information technology journal and IEEE/ACM network journal; In the extreme value theory of combinatorial mathematics, there is Professor Cai Ning's "Alhswede-Cai Theory", which denies the famous Kleitman conjecture that has not been solved for decades. He has published more than 50 papers in international journals and conferences, including 17 papers published by IEEE Transactions on IT and 1 department.
