Yueshi Ancestral Hall in Xiangxi Township, Xianyou County, built in Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty, with a building area of 880 square meters, is located in Yangtou, Xiangxi Village, less than eight miles away from Caixiyan, a scenic spot in Xianyou. In order to carry forward the ancestral temple culture, commemorate and inherit the patriotic spirit of the national hero Yue Fei, with the joint efforts of the descendants of Yue family from all over the province, the ancestral temple was restored on 1993, and it cost more than 50,000 yuan to renovate. Completed on 1994. In the process of rebuilding the ancestral temple, we received strong support from the ancestral temples of Xianyou Longhua, Putian Changtai, Fuzhou Liao Hong, Minhou Liujin, Bantou, Zhuqi, Yongtai Baiyun, Dongyang and Songkou. And sponsored by Yue Zongqin of Taiwan Province. The ancestral hall was busy, and Mr. Tianyue, president of the Yue clan association in Taiwan Province Province, presented a plaque of Zude Yong Guang to congratulate him. The Yueshi Ancestral Hall has become a window for overseas Chinese to "seek their roots and ask their ancestors" to place their nostalgia and enhance their feelings.
According to genealogical records, our ancestral temple is descended from Yuefei-Lin Yue-York in Tangyin, Henan. In order to escape the war and the persecution of the traitor Jia Sidao at the end of the Song Dynasty, he moved from Zhejiang to Jiujiang, and the latter one moved to Youxi County, Yanping Prefecture, Fujian Province. In the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, Sun Yuehui, the grandson of Jiugong in the Qing Dynasty, moved from Youxi County to Xingtai Li (now Xiangxi Township) in Xianyou County, Xinghua Prefecture. After nearly 20 generations of reproduction, descendants are distributed all over the province, contributing to the development and construction of Bamin land. A monument of Wei Bin's legacy in the last years of Qianlong is preserved in the temple, which is nearly 300 years ago and is a rare cultural relic.
