Esheng Qin, from a poor family, 17 years old went to pawn shop to do odd jobs. I have been an apprentice for 8 years, working during the day and teaching myself calligraphy at night. The shopkeeper saw that his handwriting was good, and every year until the end of the year, he was asked to write two or three thousand pairs of Spring Festival couplets to sell. Later, I came to Guangzhou provincial government as a secretary (document) to send and receive work. From 65438 to 0933, he became a teaching assistant in the Law School of Sun Yat-sen University, but actually served as the secretary of President Huang. After the founding of New China, he worked as an intern in Southern University. 1956 was hired as a researcher in Guangdong Provincial Museum of Literature and History, and was soon hired as a librarian, specializing in literature and history, calligraphy and seal cutting. 65438-0986 Deputy Director of Provincial Museum of Literature and History, Director of China Calligraphers Association and Chairman of Guangdong Branch of China Calligraphers Association. From 1988 to 65438+February, he donated more than 90 masterpieces to the people in his hometown. Huizhou Municipal People's Government set up a "Changsheng Bookstore" in Cuizhou, West Lake, to display his books. Qi Gong, chairman of the China Calligraphers Association, inscribed a plaque for the bookstore, and Liao Fushu, a professor at the Central Conservatory of Music, wrote a couplet: "A corner of the week is fresh and green, and half of the bookstore is full." It has become a unique cultural landscape of Huizhou West Lake. Esheng Qin became the representative of Yangcheng culture (in Jiang Hongyan's words).
