He used to be secretary of the Party Working Committee of Pazhou Street in Guangzhou, member of the Standing Committee of Huangpu District Committee of Guangzhou and director of the office of the district Committee. In July 2008, he served as secretary of Fengshun County Committee of Guangdong Province, and in June 2009, he was elected as director of the Standing Committee of County People's Congress.

On September 20 12, he was transferred to the position of full-time deputy director of Guangzhou Social Work Committee, and no longer served as secretary of Fengshun County Party Committee and director of the Standing Committee of County People's Congress.
