Biography of Ilia Kulik
Couric's father is a civil engineer and his mother is an English translator. He began to practice figure skating at the age of 6, won the World Junior Figure Skating Championship in 1995, switched to legendary Russian coach tatiana Tarasova in 1996, and won the gold medal in men's single skating in Nagano Winter Olympics in Japan in 1998.

After the Olympic season, couric announced his retirement, turned professional and moved to the United States. He participated in the top figure skating tour "Star on the Ice" in the United States, as well as various other commercial performances and professional competitions, and personally arranged performances for many times, which was deeply loved by ice fans.

Couric's amateur sports career is as short as a meteor, but his professional sports career is much longer. He opened up his own field in the professional ice rink, constantly innovating, and was well received by all parties. Since 2003, besides taking part in Shang Yan, he has also started to coach young figure skaters and choreograph. In addition, he also went to Japan to study professional acting courses, and in 2000 he took part in the film Center Stage. Now, couric lives in Connecticut with his wife and two daughters.
