Brief introduction of Qian Juntao

1906.12-1998.8), formerly known as Qian Jintang, the word Yutang, later renamed Han, also known as An, and renamed Tang, also known as Tang, whose scientific name is Jintang, and whose pen names are Bai Ruixian and Cheng Shuoqing. Originally from Haining, Zhejiang, he was born in Tongxiang County, Zhejiang.

Good at book binding and Chinese painting. 1925 graduated from Shanghai Art Normal School, studied western painting under Feng Zikai, and taught himself calligraphy, seal cutting and Chinese painting. Good at binding art, seal cutting and calligraphy. 1948 held personal calligraphy and painting seal cutting works in Shanghai.

He has designed covers for Mao Dun's Eclipse, Ba Jin's Home, Spring, Novel Monthly, Oriental Magazine, Education Magazine and Women's Magazine.

He used to be editor of Ming Kai Bookstore, editor-in-chief of Ye Wan Bookstore, deputy editor-in-chief of People's Music Publishing House, president of Shanghai Music Publishing House, vice president of Xiling Publishing House, president of Tao Jun Art College, professor of art education department of East China Normal University, member of China Artists Association, member of China Calligraphers Association, executive director of Shanghai Artists Association, honorary director of Shanghai Calligraphers Association, vice president of Xiling Publishing House and professor of art education department of East China Normal University.

His works include Sunflower and Cooper. He has published Hate in Spring Dreams, Selected Children's Songs in China, Music Collection for Primary Schools, Long March Prints, Qian Juntao's Works, Lu Xun's Prints, Qian Juntao Prints, Tao Jun Prints, Haiyue Temple Prints, Endless Prints and Qian Juntao Book Prints. Selected Seal Carvings of Qian Juntao, Collected Stamps of Yutang, Collected Stamps of Yutang and Collected Stamps of Jungle Hall have been edited and published. He co-authored The Origin of Yin Xi in China with Ye Luyuan, which has a Japanese translation. He published a collection of short essays on fine arts, A Brief Introduction to Art Gardens, and a collection of Qian Juntao's works.
