Lei Zu Lei Zu is the daughter of Xiling family and the wife of the Yellow Emperor. Legend has it that she is the creator of sericulture and silk-making methods in the Central Plains, and is worshipped as the first silkworm (the silkworm god) after the Northern Zhou Dynasty. She and Changyi, the son of the Yellow Emperor, are the ancestors of Yu and Xia. The other son, Xuan Tao, is the ancestor of businessmen and Zhou people.
