A Brief Introduction to the Author of Tourism Cultural Resources
Zhan Sen-Verbeke, Ph.D. Myriam, geographer, professor of geography at the University of Leuven, Belgium, mainly teaches postgraduate courses in tourism. During her career, she has participated in many researches on different topics related to tourism in China. At present, her research interests are heritage, culture and urban tourism. She is a member of the International Tourism Research Committee and the editorial boards of several tourism science magazines. Her international contribution to tourism research is mainly reflected in the planning and management of historical tourist cities, a series of issues related to the management of destinations and tourists, and the functions of museums, festivals, shopping and tourism. She published a series of articles and discussion papers in China and participated in many books. These achievements are mainly concentrated in the case studies of several cities in Holland and Flanders, Belgium.
