What does AF mean in a digital camera?
AF is the abbreviation of camera Auto Focus in Chinese and English, which means autofocus.

AF camera is the abbreviation of autofocus camera.

If it's in a camera, it's auto-focus locking, and it emits illumination light by itself, so the focus accuracy has nothing to do with the brightness and contrast of the subject, and it can be shot smoothly even in dark environments such as indoors.

The focusing of this camera is done automatically by an electronic rangefinder. When the camera shutter button is pressed, the electronic rangefinder can control the lens to move back and forth at the corresponding position or rotate the lens to the required position according to the distance of the subject.

Auto-focus function of extended data:

The advantages of this autofocus method are that the camera itself does not need a transmitting system, so it consumes less energy, has low cost, and has a simple beam splitting system, which is conducive to miniaturization.

When it is sunny outside, it can focus completely automatically, even in backlight or distant scenes. As long as there is brightness, this system can focus.

Modern digital cameras use AF auxiliary focusing lights to make up for the lack of brightness. Colors range from early red to cool green and blue.

However, because the system mainly accepts external light, it is called "passive" autofocus system, and because of this, when the light is too dark or the contrast of the subject is too low, VAF cannot work.

Coupled with the main body of thin wires (such as telephone poles), the autofocus of VAF is also difficult and the accuracy is not high (recently 1. 1 meter to infinity). Therefore, low-level digital cameras often cannot provide accurate macro shooting ability.
