On September 24th, 2008, T-Mobile G 1 (code name HTC Dream), the world's first mobile phone equipped with Android system, opened the era of Android phones, and HTC was therefore known as the "originator of Android".
First loss
In the following three years, HTC occupied the market share in the industry with various excellent products. Even Samsung's mobile phone business has not reached this height. However, due to market strategic mistakes and insufficient product transformation, HTC's market share began to lose money from 20 1 1, and HTC lost money for the first time in history from 20 13 to 10.
In 20 17, HTC sold part of its mobile phone business to Google, an Android mobile phone manufacturer, including patents and researchers. This was once regarded by the media as the first step for HTC to give up its mobile phone business. The backbone business of selling smartphones and VR services is fading, and HTC seems to have lost its direction long ago. For the future, I am afraid that HTC itself does not know.
