Zhengning County belongs to Qingyang City, Gansu Province, located in the southeast of Qingyang City, Gansu Province, at the west foot of Ziwuling Mountain, bounded by huangling county in Shaanxi Province in the east, Xunyi County in Shaanxi Province in the south, Bin County in Shaanxi Province in the southwest, Jinghe River in Changwu County, Shaanxi Province in the west and Ning County in Gansu Province in the north, with geographical coordinates of 3514' 40 "-35 36' north latitude.

Organizational evolution:
