Huangmei opera is a local opera in Hubei, and Jiangxi tea-picking opera originated in Hubei.
In the early years of the People's Republic of China, the head of Nanchang Tea Opera Troupe was interviewed and said: Our ancestors were from Hubei!
Huangmei Opera originated in Huangmei County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. Huangmei Opera originated and was born in Huangmei County. It is a native opera in Huanggang, Hubei. It was introduced into Susong, Anqing, Anhui Province through Huayang River, one of the six major water systems in Huanggang, Hubei Province. None of the more than 300 original scripts of Huangmei Opera were original in Anhui, but all of them were re-adapted. The classic traditional repertoire of Huangmei Opera originated from the true stories of Huangmei, Guangji, Qichun, Xishui and Macheng counties in Huanggang, Hubei Province, and was adapted from folk stories in Hubei Province. Ma Xu is adapted from the folk story "Double Saviors" in Xiangyang, Hubei Province, and tells the story of Xiangyang House in Hubei Province. The heroine Feng Suzhen is from Fengjiaxian Lane, Xiangyang House in Hubei Province. According to legend, Xiaogan in Hubei was named after Yong Dong, a dutiful son of the Eastern Han Dynasty, who sold himself to bury his father. Yunxi County, Shiyan, Hubei Province is one of the cradles of myths and legends about cowherd and weaver girl. Small Porcelain Shop is adapted from Cai Mingfeng's Porcelain Shop in Huangmei County, Huangzhou District, Hubei Province (now Huanggang City, Hubei Province), and tells the true story of Huanggang, Hubei Province. Speaking of Huangmei Opera, I have to mention one person: Comrade Gui, the founder of Huangmei Opera in New China, not only made contributions to the liberation of southwest Anhui (Anqing and other places), but also made indelible contributions to the spread and development of Huangmei Opera in New China in Anhui. Gui was born in Huangmei County (Huanggang), Hubei Province, the hometown of Huangmei Opera. He likes the operas in his hometown. 1949, Anhui Anqing was liberated, and Gui was appointed as the first secretary of Anqing. Anqing was then the capital of Anhui Province. On the second day after Gui took office, he began to look for wandering Huangmei Opera artists from all over the country. Among them, Ding Laoliu (the mentor of Ding Yongquan, a famous Huangmei Opera teacher) Yan (the original name) personally established the first and second groups of Anqing Huangmei Opera (1988 was upgraded to Anhui Huangmei Opera Theatre) and Anhui Opera School (the predecessor of Anhui Huangmei Opera Vocational and Technical College), which was implemented. Supporting the filming of "A Fairy Match" laid the foundation for the development of Huangmei Opera in Anhui Province and even the whole country. Guilin Seven Huangmei Opera Foundation was named after Guilin Seven (non-Yan Fengying) to commemorate its great contribution to the development of Huangmei Opera.
"Birds in the tree are in pairs, green mountains and green waters are smiling", the most classic lyric in Huangmei Opera "The Fairy Couple". After Gui established Anhui Huangmei Opera Troupe, the members of Anhui Huangmei Opera Troupe went to Huangmei County in Hubei Province for many times from 65438 to 0953, and brought some traditional Huangmei Opera plays back to Anhui, including Yong Dong Prostitution, which was later adapted into the movie The Fairy Couple.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Anqing, Anhui Province was the birthplace of Huangmei Opera, Huangniushan was changed to Huangmei Mountain, and Niulan Village was changed to Huangmei Village. A series of place names and road names, such as Huangmeiting, Huangmeige and Huangmeizhen, are named after Huangmei, but these are only decades old at present. According to the investigation, there is no historical record such as "Anqing government" in Anqing local chronicles, also known as "Meicheng"
"It rains at home in Huangmei season (rainy season)" or a play sung only when picking plums is called Huangmei opera, which is hard to say voluntary. In fact, they are all fighting for the birthplace of Huangmei Opera. Huangmei rainy season is not unique to Anqing, Anhui Province. Is the play sung by Huangmeizi called Huangmeixi? Can't you sing Huangmei Opera in Tomb-Sweeping Day, winter solstice and thunderstorm? Can't it be called Qingming Drama, Winter Solstice Drama and Thunderstorm Drama? Can't you sing Huangmei Opera when picking apples? Did Huangmeitian and Huang Meiyu originate in Anqing? There are more than 360 days in a year. How many days are there in Huangmei season? Looking at more than 300 operas in China, none of them are named after rainy season and season. There are certain naming rules for China's operas, many of which are named after provinces, prefectures, prefectures, cities and counties, such as Sichuan Opera, Guangdong Opera, Beijing Opera (abbreviated as Beijing), Henan Opera (abbreviated as Henan), Yue Opera (Zhejiang was the state of Yue in ancient times) and Chu Opera (historically Hubei was the core of Chu State).

Huangmei Opera is Huangmei Opera, which originated in Huangmei and Anhui. It makes sense why it is called Huangmei Opera instead of Anqing Opera. Because the predecessors all admitted that it was Huangmei opera, if it was directly called Anqing opera, there would be no controversy, just like meat buns and soup packets. Although they are all minced meat, there are differences in names.
As a native of Jiangsu, I have known since childhood that Huangmei Opera belongs to Anhui, including Yan Fengying.
